When my husband and I dicided we want to take my little brand Tummietown to the next level I had a bit of a stress moment… I want to do so many things! I don’t know where to start. Ideas for fabric prints, kids items and accessories, patches, pins, caps, socks, dresses, sweaters, backpacks… My head explodes 🎉
So I had to take a little break and sew some things from the knippie or Ottobre. Just sew and don’t think to much. Hopefully this helps me to make a clear plan for the future.
This dress is from Knippie 1-2015
I draw the space fabric myself and printed it by Spoonflower. Unfortunately it’s faded a lot after one washing 😥
Busy thinking about the new items I want to sew for the Tummietown spring/summer collection.
I think I will create an updated version of last year’s tank top and I want to add some cool tees with a Loulou & Tummie print 😁 Oh and because of the many requests I’ll add some dresses!
I’m also planning 1 or 2 new fabric prints. I haven’t decided yet. Here’s a small sneak preview of the first ideas.
Keep you updated!
This years holiday dress for Koko is a pattern from CompagnieM. And I love it! It fits her perfectly. I have to admit I was a bit scared of the invisible zipper but it went smoothly and I’m very happy with the result 🙂
To finish the dress I added a small application. I cut out a flower from our own (tummietown) canvas fabric, ironed this on the dress with vliesofix and stitched it with a bright orange thread.
I wanted to sew a matching dress for her doll. So I drew a quick simple dress pattern and added the pocket so it looks like the CompagnieM dress. Koko loved it!
fabric: dark blue squares from Petit pan, orange (tangerine) cotton lining and neon orange piping
Pattern: Louisa dress, CompangieM
application: Tummietown, me
For this winter I sewed some colorful and bright raglan sweaters and sweater dresses for kids!
There are a few sizes of the sweaters and dresses available. I’m not sewing these on demand anymore because I want to do something new for next winter.
You can buy these sweaters & dresses in the webshop.
We treated ourselves with a Cameo silouette a few weeks ago! And of course I had to add a little Tummietown house on the sweater 🏠
I’m planning on designing some cute prints for the Spring/Summer items.
Can’t wait to show you!
Our stand at the Swanmarket last weekend!
Hopefully you’ll spot us at more events and maybe some trade shows next year. Please feel free to let us know if there is an event or market we shouldn’t mis.
We printed some cute new characters on a nice quality canvas fabric. Wiehee I say new bright pillows in the webshop soon!!!!
I think they look cute in a pattern too. So maybe we’ll create one for the spring items…
I just want to say a quick thank you to everybody who came an visited us at the GDFB Marché in Breda. Thank you for all the positive response!
