When my husband and I dicided we want to take my little brand Tummietown to the next level I had a bit of a stress moment… I want to do so many things! I don’t know where to start. Ideas for fabric prints, kids items and accessories, patches, pins, caps, socks, dresses, sweaters, backpacks… My head explodes 🎉
So I had to take a little break and sew some things from the knippie or Ottobre. Just sew and don’t think to much. Hopefully this helps me to make a clear plan for the future.
This dress is from Knippie 1-2015
I draw the space fabric myself and printed it by Spoonflower. Unfortunately it’s faded a lot after one washing 😥
This years holiday dress for Koko is a pattern from CompagnieM. And I love it! It fits her perfectly. I have to admit I was a bit scared of the invisible zipper but it went smoothly and I’m very happy with the result 🙂
To finish the dress I added a small application. I cut out a flower from our own (tummietown) canvas fabric, ironed this on the dress with vliesofix and stitched it with a bright orange thread.
I wanted to sew a matching dress for her doll. So I drew a quick simple dress pattern and added the pocket so it looks like the CompagnieM dress. Koko loved it!
